What is it?
The purpose of the grant is to increase participation in physical activity among Australians aged 65 years or older to improve health and well-being and YOU could be eligible to participate!

Exercising in older adults helps:
- Build muscle strength
- Increase bone density
- Decrease body fat
- Increases overall fitness
- Enhances mobility, flexibility and balance
- Reduces the impact of illness and chronic disease
- And so much more!

Older adults should be doing some form of physical activity no matter if they are 50 or 95 years old.T rust us, we have 95 year old clients! At least 30 minutes of exercise every day is recommended and should be a mixture of cardio, strength training and stretching.


How can we help?

This program runs for 12 weeks consisting of an assessment and 12 hours of exercise in a group setting and is partially subsidised by the grant and will only cost each participant $144.50 over the 12 weeks. We offer a free trial class so come in and give it a go! After this ends, we encourage you to join our group classes which will run continuously and are only $10. We can continue to progress your exercises and work further in achieving your goals.

This is a great way to get started especially if you’re a little apprehensive and unsure about what to do. Our clinics are very welcoming and treat them as a rehabilitation facility rather than an intimidating gym. If that still scares you a little then bring a friend along to check it out together.

An accredited Exercise Physiologist will run each class and will be able to take into consideration all your existing aches and pain and give you guidance. As we only run small classes, we are able to keep a close eye on you and ensure that you are using the correct technique to prevent any injury.

How do i get started?

All you have to do is come into one of our clinics or call us to book in an initial session where we ask you questions about your general health, do a few assessments and then explain the rest of the process. No need to get a referral from the doctor! We will be running the program in Rosebud, Noble Park, Frankston and Coomera so contact us to secure your spot!
